
The gospel of Jesus Christ has implications for all of life and a robust Christian faith will work to transform the injustices and hurts of this world out of service for Christ. Our people together, as well as individually and through small groups, want to reflect the love of God throughout our community. Here are some of the local agencies and ministries with which we are involved: Rose Marie Bryon Center Description: An inner city center caring for at-risk kids on mulitple levels.Ministry opportunities: Tutor, mentor, read to and play with children. Assist with office work, organization, building & grounds maintanance.Contact: Connie Kirk 386-385-7701 or Brittany Dahl 386-882-0064Facebook page: “CCC Partnering with RMBCC” Palmetto House Description: A halfway house for those attempting to transition out of poverty, addiction and homelessness. Ministry Opportunities: Join a team of 6-7 people who prepare and serve evening meals several nights per month.Contact: Larry Thomasy 386-405-9859 Avenues 12 Description: A tranisitional housing facility for women in recovery from substance abuse. Ministry Opportunities: Offer work opportunities to the residents. Donate practical items for kitchen & bathrooms. Contact: Kay Hayes 386-265-4955 or Janet White 386-253-0670 Jesus Clinic Description: Provides medical services to those who have a job but no health benefits.Ministry Opportunities: People needed to volunteer who are certified in the medical field or have medical office experience. Also needed—volunteers to screen patients foreligibility 1 to 3 times each month. As always, people are needed to pray with patients. Ministry Opportunities: Volunteers can work at the reception desk, counsel young mothers or just donate baby items. Must be 18 or older to participate in this very fulfilling ministry.
